بول لازارسفيلد (Paul Lazersfeld)
عالم اجتماع أمريكي ومؤسس مكتب الأبحاث الاجتماعية التطبيقية بجامعة كولومبيا. يعد مؤسس المدرسة الإمبريقية في الدراسات الاجتماعية وتنسب إليه نظرية التدفق الإعلامي على مرحلتين التي ظهرت بعد الحرب العالمية الثانية، ومن أهم مؤلفاته:

عالم اجتماعي وسياسي أمريكي ومنظر في
علوم الإعلام والاتصال انتمى الى مدرسة شيكاغو ودرس في جامعة يال، درس الدعاية زمن
الحرب العالمية الاولى، وهو صاحبة النموذج المعروف: من؟ يقول ماذا؟ لمن؟ بأي وسيلة؟ وبأي
أثر؟ويعتبر من مؤسسي، مكتب البحوث الاجتماعية التطبيقية لجامعة كولومبيا. سنة 1941م، وكان أول من فتح عهدا جديدا في الدراسات الكمية عن الجمهور
تتمثل أشهر انتاجاته في:
